Bouquet Garni were in a situation many small businesses encounter - paying out money increasingly frequently for IT problems, unsure when the next problem was around the corner and needing advice and support as to how their IT systems could be improved.

Suffolk Computer Services carried out a needs analysis and suggested that Bouquet Garni could improve efficiency and productivity, as well as implement stringent disaster recovery protocols by moving over to a server/workstation arrangement.  Small Business Server suited their needs perfectly, also allowing the company to run their own intranet, use a shared calendar and a more professional approach to managing emails and documents.

Rollout was carried out over a weekend, with a single server supporting a desktop and two laptops which were able to use VPN to work remotely from home or off site.

Having outdated antivirus on your computer can sometimes be just as bad as having nothing - something that Dr. Martin discovered when his laptop was "possessed" by the Sasser outbreak.  The laptop became unuseable but Dr. Martin had some important documents which he needed to retrieve before wiping and starting afresh with proper security.

We were able to retrieve the documents in a secure environment prior to reinstalling Dr. Martin's operating system and advising on appropriate security measures, including windows updates and antivirus/firewall security.
